Our Story

What is usually the first gift that visitors bring to the hospital when new babies are born?

Flowers, Flowers and MORE flowers! Don't get me wrong ... I LOVE flowers but you tend to receive flowers in boxes, flowers in tins, large bouquets of flowers, flowers, flowers everywhere and slowly your hospital room resembles its very own florist.

When i had my little boy i loved receiving flowers from everyone that came to visit, however the day before we were discharged it was my husbands duty to attempt to transport them all home.

I must say i did find it HILARIOUS (secretly)!! He had the trolley that was provided by the hospital, carefully stacked all of the flowers onto the trolley and set off on his adventure to the car (He was gone for AGES). Down the long corridor and around all the corners to the elevator, navigated himself into the elevator and down to the ground floor, out of the elevator and onto the main street along the bumpy footpath to the multi storey car park. Into the Car park and back into another elevator until he got to the car. WHAT AN EFFORT! (But secretly i would have LOVED to be a fly buzzing around the flowers watching such an effort).

When we arrived home from hospital our home was filled with beautiful flowers however, after a couple of days sadly they began to droop which got me thinking ...

What can be a gift sent to Mummas and their Bubs in hospital (or at home) that both can benefit from and can use (and easy to take home) which is where the idea for Be.Bout Mums & Bubs came about!!

Let's spoil Mums and Bubs while supporting a combination of Australian Businesses at the same time ...

So this is our beginning ...
